“Imagine yourself, on a blanket in the middle of the desert, gazing at millions of stars…”
The Experience
Throughout the evening, you’ll be guided by an experienced stargazing instructor who will share their knowledge and expertise with you. We take you to the best stargazing spots around the oasis, where you will be able to observe the stars, planets, and constellations through telescopes. You will start to spot interesting features of the sky, different constellations or the International Space Station passing overhead. You will also learn how old desert people used the stars to navigate the desert and find their way back to the oasis.
Depending on the time of year, you may be treated to stunning meteor showers. As the night draws to a close, you’ll likely feel a sense of peacefulness and tranquility, having spent several hours in the company of the stars. You might get lucky and meet nocturnal animals like the fox or the jarboa, adding to the magical atmosphere of the experience.
Note: the time schedule varies during the summer and winter.
Stargazing in Siwa
Stargazing in Siwa and its surrounding deserts is a truly magical experience. With its clear skies, low humidity and low light pollution, Siwa makes the perfect place to observe the night sky. One of the highlights of stargazing in Siwa is the chance to see the Milky Way, the galaxy that contains our solar system, stretching across the sky. With its billions of stars, the Milky Way is an awe-inspiring sight.
Imagine yourself lying on a blanket under a clear night sky, surrounded by the silence of nature. As you gaze up at the stars, you feel a sense of awe and wonder, marveling at the infinite expanse of the universe above you. As your eyes adjust to the darkness, you begin to spot different constellations and planets, each with their own unique stories.
Stargazing in Siwa is not limited to Siwa itself. Our tours also take you out into the surrounding desert, where you can observe the night sky from a more remote and prestine location. The desert offers an even clearer view of the stars, making it an unforgettable experience.
