Adrere Amellal, is the most remarkble mountain in the oasis, due to its flat shape and white color. Adrere = mountain; Amellal = white, in the native Siwan language means the “White Mountain”.  It stands alone overlooking the lake, creating a mythical landscape. 

At the foot of the mountain, a remarable ecolodge carrying the same name, emerges. A visit here is like stepping into the world of “1001 nights”. Preserving the natural beauty, the ecolodge is solely built with materials found in the area. The solid walls are made from mud and salt, doors and furniture from palm and olive wood. At night the only source of light are the numerious candles which are lit, creating a magical experience. 

Taziry, means in the local Siwi language full moon. The ecolodge which carries this name, has beautiful influences from the Marroccan architecture and style. Built with the vision of becoming a sustainable village, this ecologde is even equipped with a remarkable library in which you can find a rare collection of historical and ancient books.
